I really like the 1st one for the cover and #2 overall.

  • 2 Diana // Feb 21, 2009 at 3:39 pm

These are very cool! I think #2 is my favorite. I think I’ll give this a try myself!

  • 3 Kent // Feb 21, 2009 at 3:43 pm

I liked all three but #1 is my favorite. The background music is cool!

  • 4 Dave Lovelace // Feb 21, 2009 at 3:53 pm

Thanks guys. Got a few email replies too:

    Tony says #3 “best overall”

    Joe says #3

    Ken says #2

    John says #2

    Peggy says #3

Looks like #2 is winning so far

  • 5 Meirav // Feb 21, 2009 at 3:54 pm

I liked the first video. The background music is funny and it makes you more attached to the video. My choice is definitely No. 1.
    Its cool.

  • 6 Jeff // Feb 21, 2009 at 3:55 pm

    #2, definitely #2

  • 7 Mark // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:01 pm

I liked the music in video #1 the best-it’s catchy! I liked the cover picture of video #2. Overall, I liked video #1 the best.

  • 8 Larry // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:02 pm

I like the first one best for both the cover and music.

  • 9 John B // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:02 pm

Personally, i like the musin in #1. But, I like #3 in all other ways.

  • 10 Ladybeams // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:06 pm

I liked #1 the best. I thought the music went with the starting slide better than the other 2. Definitely don’t think the music goes with the “ghosttown” theme in #3. By the time I watched #2 and part of #3 the music had gotten on my nerves and I turned it off. (Of course that could just be because I’m old. LOL).

  • 11 Paul // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:07 pm

    Hi David,

I like all three, but my favorite is #3, with #2 being a close second.

    Best,
    Paul

  • 12 Dave Lovelace // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:17 pm

There’s a 3 way tie so far. Ha! Keep the feedback coming. It’s going to be interesting to see which one comes out the winner :-)

  • 13 Elton Hudson // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:19 pm

    I like #1 cover and #2 music.

  • 14 Barry // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:19 pm

    I like # 2 & # 3, but don’t like the music. Music in # 1 is better.

    Thanks for the ideas.
    Barry

  • 15 Bob // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:23 pm

    Immediately drawn-to #1

    Appealed most #2

    Overall a fantastic idea!

  • 16 Phil // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:25 pm

I like #1 cover and #1 music best

  • 17 Harald // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:25 pm

My choice is definitely #3 and then #1

  • 18 Gary // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:33 pm

OK– I found my right glasses and Wallau – there were the videos. :-)

I personally liked #3, but the music might be a little offensive to some – depends on who your marketing to.

If I were going to market it, I think #1 would be my overall choice. It fits in with all age groups better.

    Thanks
    Gary

  • 19 Mike Cowles // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:35 pm

    Hi Dave,

The videos look great. Very sharp and professional. I have to go with ad #2 for the overall impact and excitement. It conveys confidence and power, that websitetrafficbootcamp.com will kick some but bringing in traffic, (which it does!).

    Talk to you soon.

  • 20 Buzz // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:46 pm

#1 #1 yep that’s the 1 for me…All are well done. And hey we all miss a link or three LOL

  • 21 Fred // Feb 21, 2009 at 4:57 pm

Immediately drawn to #1 but I did not like the music.

I personally like #2 overall for visual and audio effect. Music for #2 & #3 is upbeat and has an intriguing effect like it’s carrying something solid behind it but it fits better with #2. Great stuff!

  • 22 Kellie Spatz // Feb 21, 2009 at 5:26 pm

    Hello Dave,

I liked all of them, but #2 is the best.

  • 23 Maurice // Feb 21, 2009 at 5:56 pm

Front page #1 is depressing, and the backing track is insipid.

I preferred front page #2. (More arresting, he quipped.) The backing track, for my taste, was a little too aggressive. For me, try upbeat without yelling quite so hard. But you know your customer better than I do.

  • 24 Perry // Feb 21, 2009 at 6:01 pm

Fun! Thank you for putting us onto this Animoto thing! Here’s my 2 bucks worth of worthless input:

#1 – I’m fond of the Devotchka gypsy sound of #1, it’s intriquing and implies something different and unique is being presented. The cover was kinda misleading, thought I was going to see something about a horror book or video. The intro slide may have been drawn out too long with the remainder images too fast. Found myself going back to #1 a few more times than the others because of the music.

#2 Music had an immediacy with an implied ‘powerful information being presented’ feeling. I liked the over-all internal layout of #2 the best. Almost skipped over it though at first because the stop sign put me off, like “Stop, don’t enter.”

#3 Music, same feelings as #2. Internal layout seemed amateur, especially the 2 roads side by side. Cover image was, um… lack luster, it didn’t do anything for me either way, but it was probably the most honest.

As is, #2 presents itself the best and wins my vote.

If I had my choice to rebuild them, I would probably have a cover image with the ‘website lack traffic?’ question up front before having to hit play, on a dust bowl image, or tumble weed, or ghost town sort of picture with #2 layout and #1 music. But that might filter out the number of people who click on it… Do you want honest to god watchers who are interested in the end message or do you want to get as many people as possible clicking it regardless if they are interested in the traffic boot camp message or not?

  • 25 Perry // Feb 21, 2009 at 6:03 pm

Oh, BTW, great job on all 3 videos. Definitely better than I probably could have done!

  • 26 David // Feb 21, 2009 at 6:17 pm

#2 for its visual and audio . Great work!

  • 27 Patricia // Feb 21, 2009 at 6:28 pm

#1) Which one you were immediately drawn-to
    based on the cover picture.

    Ad number 1

#2) Which one appealed to you the most
    overall.

The music in the first ad was to ethnic.

The music in the second ad was to frenzied.

I thought the music and the graphics meshed together in this ad than the other two. This is my #1 pick.

  • 28 Eric // Feb 21, 2009 at 6:35 pm

For me, #1 has the best initial impact and is definatly my favorite in terms of the music. The upbeat tempo in #2 and #3 to me sounded the alarm bells – “Hello – more hype coming!!”. May be that’s just me with my old-fashioned tastes.

  • 29 Jim // Feb 21, 2009 at 6:39 pm

I was more attracted to #2 cover. #1 seemed to be an intro to a horror movie.
The music and arrangement for #2 also. I was intrieged by the #1 music however.
    #3 was too blah.

  • 30 Donzie Welgoss // Feb 21, 2009 at 6:49 pm

    Hey Dave,
All 3 were good. I had no idea you could do all that with animoto. Video #2 stood out for me the most. I draws attention to a problem and immediately shows how to solve it. #1 did the same thing but the music in #2 nrevved it up quite a bit and made it more exciting. Video #3 was similar to #2 except for the split screen. Is that what you call it? It seemed to have a bit too much on the screen so maybe a little distracting.
    Good work!

  • 31 Leon // Feb 21, 2009 at 6:53 pm

The cover for #1 best caught my attention but I liked #2’s presentation overall. Thanks for sharing this. I am curious to know how well a short ad like this does on youtube. I hope you will follow up about that.

  • 32 Kathy Keefe // Feb 21, 2009 at 7:18 pm

Dave, I like them all, but my favorite overall is #2. I think I’ll have to give this a try. Thanks for sharing.

  • 33 Derek Reid // Feb 21, 2009 at 7:36 pm

I think the first one for the starting picture. Overall, I think the 2nd one is the best.

  • 34 Article Marketing Secrets // Feb 21, 2009 at 7:43 pm

I liked the cover on #1 but the music was not good.

I would say go with #2 or #3 but put the cover from #1 on it.
The first cover made me want to click as I wanted to find out what was inside, number three image was better than number 2 and I liked the music on the second and third and my word i’m going on and on…

Anyway go for 2 or 3 with cover from 1.

    all the best

  • 35 Max Miller // Feb 21, 2009 at 8:33 pm

Number one. Music and video very good.
Your first idea is usually your best.

  • 36 Maximize Profiit Online // Feb 21, 2009 at 8:47 pm

    I would go with #2.

  • 37 Tony Moxham // Feb 21, 2009 at 9:36 pm

    Hi Dave,
#1 does it for me, am surprised at the no of folk
who choose 2 and 3 which are jerky and seem
disjointed, also appear too dark on my monitor. # 1 has better music…only listened twice and think 2 and 3 are the same. Music and picture switching in #1 clip have all the pizzaz and coordination. I see and hear ole Mexico and the swirl of a flamenco dancer!

  • 38 Thomas Lang // Feb 21, 2009 at 9:50 pm

    Tink says #3!!

  • 39 Lynn // Feb 21, 2009 at 11:48 pm

I like the cover screen of #3 best but I like how #2 is put together better (the way the text and pictures are presented).

I don’t really like the music for #2 and #3 but it fits the video better than the music for #1 (I like the music for #1 better personally but it doesn’t fit this).

Of the three I’d have to say that #2 is best in my opinion.

  • 40 Wayne // Feb 21, 2009 at 11:50 pm

I preferred #3 for the cover and #1 overall. The music swayed my final choice.
    hmmm…Animoto looks interesting!

  • 41 Judy Cox // Feb 22, 2009 at 12:10 am

I preferred #2–transitions were smoother while music added a feeling of urgency & mystery.
Good job and thanks for the info on animoto!

  • 42 Ru // Feb 22, 2009 at 1:52 am

    No.1 Music good.No.2 Cover best.
Ad.No.2 Overall, Stop sign goes with the beat.

  • 43 Neil Robins // Feb 22, 2009 at 5:28 am

    Hi Dave

Good to see something new being used. It’s No1 for me

    Regards from Down Under

    Neil

  • 44 Ron // Feb 22, 2009 at 6:18 am

#2 Is best.. Wow, free huh?

  • 45 Shirley Grant // Feb 22, 2009 at 6:56 am

They look great! But I liked #2 best. It seemed to flow better than the other two

  • 46 whitelight // Feb 22, 2009 at 7:21 am

I thought they were very well done. The first one is my favorite because of the music. I really liked it and listened to it several times. Thank you.

  • 47 Ron // Feb 22, 2009 at 7:22 am

    #1 was the best.
You mean there was a bootcamp add there somewhere?
The videos were good but all I saw was Animoto , I personally would never use it… hate the watermark

  • 48 Dave Lovelace // Feb 22, 2009 at 2:31 pm

Ron, you can have the watermark removed with the paid version.

  • 49 Kathy // Feb 22, 2009 at 3:23 pm

OK I’m a bit slow, Dave, but I think you did a very nice job on all of the ads.
I was more immediately drawn to #1 due to the cover picture. I like the music used for it better than that used on the other two, as well.
Overall, however, I like the composition of the imagery on #2 the best.

  • 50 Kevin Hopkins // Feb 22, 2009 at 10:12 pm

Dave I was drawn to cover picture #1 and overall I preffered #1

  • 51 George Waris // Feb 23, 2009 at 12:39 am

Dave, If the music from #3 is used in #1, I found this to be more appealing. The STOP sign in #2 turned me off quickly. #3 OK, but felt it was too quick.

  • 52 Vicki Smith // Feb 23, 2009 at 8:58 am

    Liked #3 the best.

  • 53 Brenda // Feb 23, 2009 at 9:29 pm

Definitely liked all 3 but I would have to pick #2 as my favorite. Looks like a fantastic tool. Thanks for the heads up!

  • 54 Richard // Feb 24, 2009 at 1:03 pm

Animoto is great . Most of us are used to short ads we get that from TV. Still the message gets across. I am liking #1 and #2 . I find the message “Your website a ghosttown” in #1 is effective I also like #2 in so far as the fast music beat. Yeah I reckon should leave out the Stop Light idea in #2 doesnt fit with the fast theme.
Thanks for the viewing was fun.

  • 55 Umberto // Feb 25, 2009 at 2:54 pm

    Hi Dave!
I choice the #1 music, Is captivating!
Also, the #1 figures gives a great impact although #2 sequences are more logic.

  • 56 Dave Lovelace // Feb 25, 2009 at 10:35 pm

Thanks everyone for participating and voting! Looks like #2 is getting the most votes.

    Dave

  • 57 Nicholas // Feb 26, 2009 at 3:50 am

    Dave,
The Ghost Town face is TOO SCARY to use with anything. Music is cool but that one thing just threw me for a loop… doesn’t go with the music. I would change it to an actual town with the tumbleweeds etc.
Also, seemed to be a interruption in #2 which made me jump. Otherwise all are good… brings attention with the music but scares you away with the ghost face… definitely scares me!
