Coming from ‘real world training and developing of business’, I’m constantly bowled over by the huge values put on packages by the IM industry.

A flip video produced in minutes or short pdf report, with values of $1000′s – it’s like pick a number and double it – often the value is questionable and does not merit the supposed cost .

As a relative newbie, who’s done research and about to get started, I just hope that apart from these overpriced products, there really is opportunity for genuine sales.

Unfortunately, they don’t totally understand how to do the research to identify that market. Even when they are supposedly told how to do it.

At least, that’s what I run into, on a consistent basis, when helping others.

That’s my two cents worth for the day.

Very well put indeed. Although I don’t always agree with the pricing strategies of some IM products, there is something that new Internet Marketers need to know

That is, these high-priced products *aren’t* for the inexperienced. They aren’t for those who don’t already have an established business. The copy is so good that it attracts everyone, which is where a lot of people get in trouble.

They think, “Oh great, a product that will actually help me start making money.” The key word here being “start”. If you don’t already have a start and haven’t made any money yet you don’t need this $2,000 product.

I’m not saying, however, that when my business is in full swing I’ll pass up these offers. But for now I’m starting small and preparing my “plan of attack”.

I generally believe that people tend to link high priced products with higher quality content / more value , which is not always necessarily the case . People tend to overcomplicate business / internet marketing , leading to a lack of clarity and action ( myself included) .

I believe newbies should start off with the attempting the basics, make a buck or 2 with good low priced programs , then progress as they build their confidence, ability and profits instead of commencing and not completing various products/programs.

As they say Rome wasnt built in a day and business is no different.
Overnight successes are usually built upon years of hard, consistent work but of course that is not sexy to promote is it…..

Dave, keep up the great work..your work is very informative.
This Affilate program your promoting sounds like a great start for a newbie like me.

By the way , if marketers can sell high priced products succesfully, more power to them ..there is obviously a market for it.
